Covens: The Ember Days - Covens is an augmented reality video game that's similar to Ingress from Niantic Labs. The main difference here is that it has an original setting and a much more developed range of actions.
In the game, you play a powerful witch who's fighting for control against other witches played by real players. The game uses a geolocation system, meaning you'll have to go to real places around you to get more power, collect resources, and increase your area of influence. But in this game, the interaction possibilities are much better than other games in the same genre.
You can use your mana to cast special spells with different effects, use astral projection to visit places even if you aren't there physically, or damage your rivals with magical attacks. All of this is topped off by an interesting feature where moon phases and certain important dates or events affect the app, temporarily changing some aspects of the game.
Covens is, without a doubt, an interesting evolution for augmented reality exploration games, and it's set in a compelling world, as well.
